    Q:
How to replace the upper intake manifold on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by turning off ignition power before removing the air inlet duct. The fuel system needs to have pressure relieved using ch 48027 either manually or automatically followed by disconnecting pressure and evaporative emission hoses at the engine using metal collar quick connect fitting service and plastic collar quick connect fitting service. Mishandling of the purge line needs removal from its retainer, and the fuel feed hose bracket bolt, with no need to disconnect the ecm electrical connectors during fuel feed hose repositioning. Start by removing the ecm bracket with its-based unit before you disconnect the purge solenoid electrical connection and extract the wiring harness from the right side of the Intake Manifold. Start by disconnecting the Fuel Injector electrical connector from its bracket before moving on to the Throttle Body electrical connector and next removing the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose and check valve and baro sensor electrical connector and finally the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose. The upper Intake Manifold needs removal by extracting the Intake Manifold bolts (1-6) and discarding the upper Intake Manifold gasket. Clean and inspect both the Intake Manifold and all sealing surfaces when disassembly becomes required. To install the manifold begin by constructing and installing it while screwing down the Intake Manifold bolts (1-6) at 23 n.m (17 lb ft) following the specified sequence. Reinstall the pcv hose and Brake Booster Vacuum Hose and check valve together with the Throttle Body electrical connector and baro sensor electrical connector. First install the wiring harness and bracket on the right side of the Intake Manifold after you connect the Fuel Injector electrical connector to both the injector itself and the bracket. Tighten the bracket bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reinstall the purge solenoid electrical connector while placing the ecm bracket with its ecm component in position. Secure the fuel feed hose bracket and bolt into place with 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. You must finish by joining the purge line to its retainer before reattaching the fuel pressure and evap hoses and putting back the air inlet duct.

    Q:
How to replace the lower intake manifold on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The lower intake replacement process begins by shutting off the ignition then removing the air inlet duct. The metal collar quick connect fitting service (Fitting Service) and plastic collar quick connect fitting service (Fitting Service) must be used for engine hose detachment of fuel pressure and evaporative emission (EVAP). The process begins with disconnecting the baro sensor electrical connector yet keeping the Engine Control Module (ECM) electrical connectors undisturbed. First remove the ecm bracket with the ecm from its place and set it aside before disconnecting the purge solenoid electrical connector. The removal process starts by disconnecting the right-side wiring harness from the Intake Manifold and then proceeds with the disconnection of both the Fuel Injector electrical connector and the Throttle Body electrical connector. First disconnect the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose and check valve combination then remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the Intake Manifold. To remove the Intake Manifold the technician must first remove its mounting bolts (1-6) and then detach the Intake Manifold. The Intake Manifold needs to be broken down for cleaning while examining all surfaces used for sealing. After assembling the required parts of the Intake Manifold let's install it followed by connecting the pcv hose to the Intake Manifold then connecting the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose with check valve to the brake booster. After connecting the Throttle Body electricity and Fuel Injector electricity, tighten wiring harness bracket bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in) while installing the harness to the Intake Manifold right side. Rejoin the electrical connector for the purge solenoid while also reinstalling the ecm bracket that contains the ecm and connecting the baro sensor electrical connector. Complete the installation by connecting the engine's fuel pressure and evap hoses with metal collar quick connect fitting service (Fitting Service) and plastic collar quick connect fitting service (Fitting Service) before reinstalling the air inlet duct.
