How to replace the LH automatic transmission mount, Motor And Transmission Mount on Cadillac Seville? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the left automatic transmission mount, first increase and support the vehicle, next support the powertrain assembly using a proper jack. Take away the nut that holds the transmission mount to the transmission mount bracket, and let the jack down a little bit to let the engine down. Then move on to unwiring the mount from the holder and disconnecting the wires from one another, next to remove the bolt and nut securing the mount to the frame, then the removal of the 2 nuts that secure the mount to the frame and pull the mount out. For installing, start by fitting the mount, then attach the mount bolt and nut to the frame making sure that you are following the fastener notice in service precautions. Screw the 2 nuts attaching the mount to the frame and tighten it to 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.). Lift the engine and transmission assembly up into place, then use a nut to the mount and mount bracket and tighten it to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.). Finally, remove the engine assembly support jack of the vehicle and lower it.
