    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose on Chevrolet Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace power steering pressure hoses begins by using a hoist to lift the vehicle and extracting the front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter if the car has an automatic transmission. A mechanic should detach the power steering pressure hose from the power steering gear followed by lowering the vehicle. Suspension the upper air cleaner assembly and detach the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump pipe before removing it from the vehicle. Install the power steering pressure hose following technique guidelines where the hose needs to be straight and attach it properly to the vehicle. Set the power steering pressure hose into the power steering pump pipe before tightening the connection with 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Place the upper air cleaner assembly after which the vehicle should be raised again before replacing the front Exhaust Pipe with its Catalytic Converter if removed. Complete the connection of power steering pressure hose with power steering gear by proper tightening to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Then lower the vehicle before bleeding the power steering system.
