    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of power steering cooler pipe/hose begins by elevating and supporting the vehicle before uninstalling the right front tire assembly along with the power steering gear heat shield. Users should first disconnect the wiring harness from the power steering cooler pipe/hose bracket stud before compressing the clamp to free up the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose from the power steering cooler pipe/hose. The power steering gear requires the power steering cooler pipe/hose and its O-ring seal to be detached before disposal. First remove the retaining bolt and the retaining nut on the power steering cooler pipe from the RH cradle side before taking out the cooler pipe from the vehicle through the front of the cradle. Insert the new power steering cooler pipe/hose into place before installing the retaining nut and bolt to the right-hand cradle side while tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Thread in the retaining bolts at the cradle front side before tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Install a new O-ring before connecting the power steering gear with the cooler pipe/hose while securing the nut at 27 N.m (20 lb ft). Snap the clamp while joining the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose with the cooler pipe/hose followed by reinstating the wiring harness to the bracket stud. Make the final installation by placing the power steering gear heat shield and right front wheel components next to each other then reduce the vehicle and complete power steering system fluid filling and bleeding steps.
