    Q:
How to service and repair the fuel rail and replace the fuel injectors on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Fuel Rail repair requires the first step to be relieving fuel system pressure before the work begins. The technician should first detach the upper Intake Manifold and lower Intake Manifold before taking off the fuel pipe retaining clip to remove the fuel feed pipe from the Fuel Injector rail. Compressed air should be used to remove debris from the entry points of the fuel injectors into the Intake Manifold. Remove the Fuel Rail bolts while safeguarding injector electrical connector terminals and spray tips before you support the Fuel Rail during removal procedure. Secure the fittings along with plugging the holes to avoid contamination. First disconnect the Fuel Rail along with the fuel injectors then unlock the Fuel Injector electrical connection and finally remove the electrical connector. Uninstall the Fuel Injector retainer clip followed by the Fuel Injector along with disposal of the old Fuel Injector seals. New Fuel Injector seals must be used before mounting the Fuel Injector with its dedicated retainer clip. After installing the new Fuel Injector seals connect the Fuel Injector electrical connector and use the lock mechanism to fasten it. The Fuel Rail should be placed into position alongside fuel injectors after making sure that Fuel Rail bolts are tightened at 10 n.m (89 lb in). The installation process ends with feeding the fuel pipe to connect with the Fuel Rail and adding a retaining clip before reinstalling the upper Intake Manifold.
