How to replace the rear bumper fascia on Chevrolet SSR? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacing the rear bumper fascia after you open the rear compartment lid and lower the end gate. Disassemble the rear compartment sill plate followed by removing upper fasteners from the fascia. Fasten the end gate while you detach the retainers from the wheel housings on the fascia. The body side harness should be disconnected from rear fascia wiring harness followed by removing the center brace support bracket bolt and rear fascia side attaching fasteners to completely remove the rear fascia from the vehicle. During installation the fascia must be positioned correctly with the body before installing it while tightening rear fascia side fasteners to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Install the rear wheelhouse retainers while tightening their fasteners to 6 N.m (53 lb in). The installation of the center brace support bracket bolt should happen after lowering the end gate and fastening the rear fascia upper fasteners into place. After installation of the rear compartment sill plate complete the process by closing the end gate and rear compartment lid while tightening the rear fascia fasteners to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
