    Q:
How to Service and Repair Coil Springs on Chevrolet Tracker? Posted by Customer
    A:
A vehicle lift must be used to service Coil Springs before performing maintenance work. Position the vehicle using a floor jack while resting the rear axle housing. First disconnect the park brake cable hanger from the frame then remove the clamp which holds it onto the cross member. After support, remove the lower bolt along with its nut from the shock absorber assembly. Service vehicles with abs systems will require removal of the wheel speed sensor clamps which are installed to both the upper Control Arm and the axle housing. The right rear brake pipe e-ring must be removed followed by breather hose separation from the axle housing. Slowly lower the rear axle housing until enough coil spring clearance can be achieved.
