    Q:
How to replace the rear side door window regulator on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should start by setting the front door window at a 6.3 mm (1/4 in) distance from the top before taping it to the window frame for Impala rear side door window regulator replacement. Start by removing the rear door trim panel together with the rear door water deflector. Restate the procedure by disconnecting the rear window from its position on the rear window regulator carrier plate as well as unconnecting the electrical connector from the rear window regulator motor. Remove the rear window regulator through the rear access hole by lifting it up and out from key slots on the rear door inner panel after loosening the bolts on the rear window regulator motor and the rear window regulator rail. The rear window regulator installation requires users to insert the bolts halfway into the motor and rail until they reach the rear access hole before positioning the rail and finally the regulator motor. Affix the rear window regulator into the key slots before you tighten its motor and rail bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in). After removing the tape from the rear window users must insert the carrier plate into position and connect both the rear window to the plate while attaching the electrical connector to the motor of the regulator. You should reinstall both the rear door water deflector along with the rear door trim panel.
