    Q:
How to replace the rear coil springs on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
For replacement of the rear coil spring, first, lift and support vehicle by frame for full extension of suspension. Support the rear axle with an adjustable jack stand; pull off the shock absorber to rear axle nut. Don't suspend rear axle through brake hoses so as not to cause damage. Gradually drop the rear axle and take out the rear coil spring . When installing the new rear spring, its lower end should face forward and do not scratch or damage the corrosion prevention coating. And in case of damage, change the rear spring. Upon raising the rear axle and installing the shock absorber to rear axle nut, tighten it to 90 nm (66 ft. Lbs.). Last, take off the rear axle support and jack down the vehicle.
