    The replacement of valve Rocker Arm and push rods begins with removing the valve Rocker Arm cover(s) and the Rocker Arm bolt(s). It continues with removing the valve Rocker Arm(s) and Pushrod(s) before application of prelube gm p/n 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or equivalent on push rod ends. After these, reinstall the pushrods in their original position while applying prelube on Rocker Arm friction surfaces. Nederland prelube gm p/n 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or an equivalent along the ends of push rods before installation. Keep the intake valve push rods at 146.0 mm (5.75 in) length and exhaust valve push rods at 152.5 mm (6.0 in) length. After reinstalling push rods to their initial positions coat friction surfaces of the Rocker Arm with identical prelube material. Shims should be added under the valve Rocker Arm pedestals when reconditioning involved the Cylinder Head or its components. The valve rocker arms should be positioned where they originally were before the installation of valve Rocker Arm bolts. Tighten these bolts to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). The last step includes the installation of valve Rocker Arm cover(s).
