    Q:
How to replace the front crankshaft seal on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the front Crankshaft oil seal requires removal of the Crankshaft balancer. A suitable tool enables removal of the Crankshaft front oil seal while maintaining engine front cover and Crankshaft integrity. You must apply engine oil to the new oil seal before aligning the en-48869 (Front Crankshaft Seal Installer) together with the Crankshaft front oil seal to unite with the engine front cover and Crankshaft. The installation of the Crankshaft front oil seal requires the usage of en-48869 (Front Crankshaft Seal Installer) paired with an appropriate tool. Finally, reinstall the Crankshaft balancer.

    Q:
How to replace the rear crankshaft seal on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before replacing the crankshaft rear oil seal start by removing the Flywheel while paying attention not to harm the Crankshaft Seal surface with a pry tool. You can eliminate the seal by pushing a screwdriver through the dust lip then rotating the tool to free the seal entirely. Chalk the bore area for nicks or burrs before making adjustments when needed. Use engine oil to lubricate the seal space on the seal surface before putting in the new oil seal with the rear main bearing oil seal installer (J34686). Slide the new seal onto the mandrel until its dust lip settles against the tool collar base. Proceed by positioning the dowel pin on the tool with the dowel pin hole of the crankshaft and connect them together. Tighten the t-handle tool until it pushes the seal into the bore until the tool collar meets the block and then completely release the grip on the handle. After breaking free the attaching screws and tool remove them while confirming the seal maintains complete contact with the bore surface. After completing the installation with the Flywheel and transmission just begin the engine to inspect for oil leaks.

    Q:
How to replace the front crankshaft seal on Chevrolet Uplander? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the front crankshaft oil seal requires you to take out the crankshaft balancer. A suitable tool should be used to remove the crankshaft front oil seal while maintaining both the engine front cover and crankshaft from any potential damage. Use clean engine oil to lubricate the new oil seal before installing the Cover Aligner and Seal Installer (J 35468) together with the crankshaft front oil seal onto the engine front cover so it can match up with the crankshaft. When replacing the crankshaft front oil seal you should use both the Cover Aligner and Seal Installer (J 35468) and a suitable tool. Finally, reinstall the crankshaft balancer.

    Q:
How to service and repair the front crankshaft seal on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin repair and service work on the front Crankshaft Seal only after removing the negative Battery Cable. The repair starts by supporting the automobile and disassembling the right front tire along with wheel assembly and splash shield before continuing. Moving on to the next step you need to extract the Crankshaft balancer while protecting both the Crankshaft and its keyway. Afterwards you can retrieve the Crankshaft key from its position. A screwdriver or equivalent instrument helps pry out the oil seal for inspection of both the front cover and Crankshaft to check for any scratches. Clean engine oil application on the new oil seal must be properly performed using the Crankshaft Seal installer and centering tool (J 35468). Insert the oil seal into the front cover with its lip facing the engine direction. The reinstall process starts with inserting the Crankshaft key into its keyway before installing the Crankshaft balancer and right splash shield and right front tire and wheel assembly. Conclude by attaching the negative Battery Cable last.
