This process needs repetition when needed. The j 34686 rear main seal installer (J 34686) requires engine oil application to the new crankshaft rear oil seal before positioning the seal on the tool. Put the j 34686 onto the rear of the crankshaft then make sure to hand tighten its screws so the seal sits in perfect alignment. Secure the seal onto the crankshaft using j 34686 alongside its wing nut until it hits complete resistance. The installation of the engine Flywheel requires the j 34686 and the crankshaft to be separated while the j 34686 is removed.
