To replace the crankshaft rear oil seal, it is necessary first to take off the
Flywheel. Next, take a flat-tipped screwdriver and use it to pry the seal away from the housing into the access notches, discarding the old seal after doing so. Clean any dirt or rust on the site and put 2 to 3 drops of clean engine oil on the bore of the housing, the outer diameter of engine pilot flange, on the outside diameter of the Flywheel pin, and the Crankshaft Seal side which also helps in protection on the seal surface. Make sure that the new seal is correctly positioned, and the word "this side out" is stamped on it. Analyze the j 35621-b (J 35621-B) flange for any imperfection that could cause destruction of the new seal, contact the new seal with a fine grade emery cloth to remove minor flaws. Do not let oil or any lubricants come into contact with the seal lip surface. Take off the sleeve from the seal and add 2-3 drops of clean engine oil to outer diameter of the seal. Mount the seal onto the j 35621-b (J 35621-B) and on the back of the crankshaft, by tightening the tool bolts by hand until tighten. The oil seal alignment of the crankshaft rear plays a vital role. It should be installed in nearby, flush, and square to the crankshaft rear oil seal housing. Turn the j 35621-b (J 35621-B) wing nut clockwise until the seal in installed just shy and square to the housing. Feel more resistance when the seal when gets to the bottom of the housing bore. Take the seal off the j 35621-b (J 35621-B) connection by unscrewing the wing nut with the help of a counterclockwise motion before taking the tool away and removing all the excess engine oil with the help of a clean rag and put it back together again with the engine Flywheel.
