How to replace the rear crankshaft seal on 2001 Buick Century?

The replacement of the Crankshaft rear oil seal begins with transaxle and engine Flywheel removal while simultaneously maintaining the Crankshaft sealing surface. A flat-bladed tool inserted through the dust lip at an angle can remove the Crankshaft rear oil seal by prying with tool handle movements towards the Crankshaft end around the entire seal. Oil-coat the new Crankshaft rear oil seal before installing it onto the j 34686 rear main seal installer (J 34686). Secure the j 34686 against the rear side of the Crankshaft by turning screw fasteners until the seal establishes a square orientation. Once the j 34686 bottom surfaces, users should remove it from the Crankshaft. Resistance becomes manageable after the transaxle joins the engine Flywheel.
