How to replace the rear crankshaft seal on 2005 Buick Rendezvous?

Remove the first Flywheel when replacing Crankshaft rear oil seal. Dislodge the seal with a screwdriver or a similar tool gently prying it out from without damaging the outside diameter (OD) of the Crankshaft or the chamfer. In addition to checking the inner diameter (ID) of the bore for nicks or burrs and repair as necessary and the Crankshaft for any burrs or nicks on sealing surfaces and repair or replace as necessary. Clean the surface of the Crankshaft with a lint-free towel and remove all the burrs and sharp edges using crocus cloth. Observe the orientation of the new rear oil seal, which is a reverse type with "this side out" stamped on it. Mount the Crankshaft rear oil seal onto the j 34686 rear main seal installer (J 34686) by sliding over the mandrel until it bottoms against the collar of the tool. Position the dowel pin of the j 34686 with the dowel pin in the Crankshaft, fasten the tool by hand or fasten screws through to 5 nm (45 inch lbs.), then turn the t-handle in order to pressify the seal into the bore until the collar is tight against the engine block and boot up for installation of the seal. Loosen t-handle until it stops, remove attaching screws and finally install the Flywheel.
