The flat-blade tool (Flat-Bladed Tool) needs to be angled for insertion into the dust lip so you can lever out the crankshaft rear oil seal using a handle motion that directs towards the crankshaft end. This process should be repeated until complete extraction. First remove the old seal before you put in the new rear main seal and finally reinstall the engine Flywheel.
