How to replace the engine front timing cover on 2007 Chevrolet Impala?

To replace the front cover of the engine, drain the cooling system first. Afterward, take out the tensioner of drive belt, oil pan, crank balancer, crankshaft position actuator magnet, Thermostat Housing and Water Pump. Then extract the bolts of the engine front cover and the engine front cover and the engine front cover gasket. To install, start with the installation of the new engine front cover gasket and then install the engine front cover. Make sure to install the engine front cover bolts and tighten them to 257 n.m (18 lb ft). Then, mount the Water Pump, Thermostat Housing, crankshaft position actuator magnet, crankshaft balancer, oil pan, and the drive belt tensioner last. Fill the cooling system.
