2007 Chevrolet Impala Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the engine mount on 2007 Chevrolet Impala?
A: The first process to replace the Engine Mount begins with tire and wheel removal followed by the engine splash shield. Position an adjustable jack together with a block of wood beneath the Oil Pan next to removing the nuts from the Engine Mount to frame. The adjustable jack supporting a wood block needs to lift the engine until one can remove its mount/bracket assembly. Position the new Engine Mount/bracket onto the engine before installing the Engine Mount bracket bolts which need to be tightened in sequence to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Leverage the adjustable jack to lower the engine while the mount touches the frame and remove both tools to proceed. After installation of the Engine Mount bracket to frame nuts tighten them to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) before reinstalling the engine splash shield and finally replacing tire and wheel.
