To replace the crankshaft rear oil seal, you first need to remove the engine Flywheel so as not to over exert it and damage not only the crankshaft but the seal bore as well. Then pry out the crankshaft rear oil seal with the help of a suitable tool. For the installation purposes, the crankshaft rear oil seal should be lined with the engine oil on its both inner and outer diameters. Push the seal onto the mandrel until its bottom rests at the collar of the j 34686 rear main seal installer (J34686). Match the dowel pin on the j 34686 with the dowel pin of the crankshaft, and then fix the j34686 on the crankshaft by hand or tighten the attaching screws to 5nm (45 inch lbs). Set the t-handle of the j 34686 to push the seal to the bore such that the collar should be in tight contact with the case ensuring the seal is in good contact. Loosen t-handle enough until it does not move any further and then remove attaching screws. Finally, reinstall the engine Flywheel.
