The first step to replace the front Crankshaft oil seal involves taking out the Crankshaft balancer and the Crankshaft key from the keyway while ensuring the Crankshaft remains unharmed. Obtain the oil seal from its housing using either a large screwdriver or suitable alternative tool then check that both the front cover and Crankshaft display no scratches. Put oil on the new oil seal before placing it into the front cover with its lip facing the engine through the use of cover aligner and seal installer (J 35468). Put the Crankshaft key inside its keyway before installing both the balancer and the key.
