  A: To replace the Crankshaft rear oil seal, it is needed to have the rear main seal installer tool (J 34686). So first, collect the tool. First, remove the engine fly wheel and then gently pry out the Crankshaft rear oil seal with the relevant tool without damaging the Crankshaft or seal bore. Before installing the new seal, do not expose the seal or the installer to oil lubrication and do not touch the sealing lip once you remove the protective sleeve to avoid inflicting damage on it. Clean the Crankshaft sealing surface off with a lint-free towel and look for burrs or sharp edges, removing if necessary with crocus cloth. Add a note of the new seal's direction that shows its reverse style with "this side out". Slide the new Crankshaft rear oil seal onto the j 34686 using a twisting motion till it bottoms at the collar of the tool. Align the dowel pin of the j34686 with the dowel pin of the Crankshaft, attach the tool by hand or bolt the screws to 5 nm (45 inch lbs), and turn the t-handle so as to force the seal into bore until the collar is tightly fitted to the engine block to ensure proper installation. Loosen the t-handle until it is released, detach the screws attached, and finally reinstall the engine Flywheel.
