    Q:
How to replace the front wheel speed sensor on a 4WD on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
During front Wheel Speed Sensor replacement on a 4wd vehicle you must remove its Steering Knuckle and bolted Wheel Speed Sensor harness brackets to replace them properly and maintain harness orientation. Use bright white paint to note the Wheel Speed Sensor harness position on the Steering Knuckle. Pone the Wheel Hub/bearing bolts before lifting off the brake rotor from the Steering Knuckle and the Wheel Hub/bearing unit while making sure the speed sensor harness passes through the Steering Knuckle. Locate the Wheel Speed Sensor wiring at its fixed position on the Wheel Hub unit. Simply push against the Wheel Hub when seating the Wheel Speed Sensor while keeping pressure away from the tone wheel on the sensor. Use a right instrument to remove the Wheel Speed Sensor from its mount on the Wheel Hub speaker housing and get rid of it. Insert the Wheel Speed Sensor on its reference mark at the Wheel Hub/bearing assembly then push firmly until the sensor's housing contacts the space for perfect seating. Position the Wheel Hub/bearing assembly over the Steering Knuckle reference mark while hanging the brake rotor in place. Thread the Wheel Hub/bearing bolts in place before tightening them to 125 n.m (92 lb ft). Install the Wheel Speed Sensor's harness bracket bolt to the Steering Knuckle and use 20 n.m (14 lb ft) torque to secure it before putting back the Steering Knuckle.
