    Q:
How to replace the TPMS Sensor on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
First lift your vehicle using a proper support system and detach the tire along with wheel assembly. Before tire removal place the sensor's components on a clean dry surface with aluminum caps and nickel-plated valves to stop corrosion from occurring. For bead separation from wheel contact place the bead breaking fixture at a 90-degree angle to the valve stem then carefully insert the tire iron or pry bar just clockwise of the sensor body to pry upward and over the mounting/dismounting head. The tire machine requires clock-wise rotation of the tire/wheel assembly while moving tire beads to obtain proper rim positioning around the rim. Repeat this process for both tire bead layers. Run a thorough cleanup to remove every bit of remaining tire sealant from inside both the wheel surface and the tire. Evacuate the tire pressure sensor nut and its associated sensor from the wheel assembly. Installation begins with a cleaning of grommet sealing area followed by sensor insertion into wheel hole with air pass facing outward from wheel. Then install the sensor nut and adjust body position parallel to inside wheel surface before tightening the nut to 7 N.m (62 lb in). When ready to reinstall the tire use a mounting/dismounting head at 180 degrees from the valve stem while the bead transition area faces 45 degrees counterclockwise relative to the valve stem. After this, rotate the tire/wheel assembly clockwise to move the tire beads inside the wheel rim. Perform the same operation for the outer bead. The service replacement tire pressure sensor arrives in OFF mode so it needs to reach 32 km/h (20 mph) for ten seconds minimum to reach the internal roll switch before memory learning through the passenger door module (PDM). After installing the tire/wheel assembly onto the vehicle you should lower the vehicle before learning the tire pressure sensors.

    Q:
How to replace the TPMS Sensor on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
In order to change out the Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor, first lift the vehicle on an appropriate support. Remove the tire/wheel assembly from the vehicle, placing sensor's cap and valve on a clean surface after removal, because the cap is made of aluminum and valve is nickel plated to avoid corrosion. Set the bead breaking fixture 90 degrees from valve stem and slide tire iron or pry bar a little to the right of the sensor body while prying the bead up over mounting/dismounting head. Use the tire machine and rotate the tire/wheel assembly clockwise as you move the bead of the tire to the outside of the wheel rim, then repeat it with the inner bead. After transferring the tire from the wheel, make sure the leftover tire sealant is scrubbed off the inside surfaces. Then push out the tire pressure sensor nut and the sensor itself. For installation, remove all fells from the place of putting the seal on the grommet and insert the sensor into the place of the wheel hole so that the air passage is away from the wheel, by putting the sensor body in a place of 7 N.m (62 lb in), on the interior side of the wheel. Before mounting the same tire, orient the mounting/dismounting head 180 degrees away from valve stem and implement bead transition area, 45 degrees counter clock wise the valve stem, turn the tire whealorum clockwise and do again for farther bead. Mount the tire on the wheel, with the notice that a service replacement tire pressure sensor is supplied in OFF mode and needs to be run at 32 km/h (20 mph) or more for more than 10 seconds in order to shut off the inner roll switch. Lastly, mount the tire/wheel assembly on the vehicle, bring down the vehicle, and familiarize with the tire pressure sensors.
