Start with dismantling the intermediate steering shaft boot followed by the steering shaft lower seal and the steering shaft lower bearing seal retainer and the steering shaft upper seal from the steering shaft. First remove the Steering Angle Sensor then extract the steering shaft lower bearing from the steering jacket assembly. Start installation by placing the steering shaft lower bearing inside the steering jacket assembly. Begin sensor installation of the Steering Angle Sensor before adding the steering shaft upper seal followed by the steering shaft lower bearing seal retainer and steering shaft lower seal and intermediate steering shaft boot to the steering shaft. Reinsert the Steering Column back into the vehicle.

    Before handling either the Steering Angle Sensor or steering shaft lower bearing you must disable the sir system. Start by taking the Steering Column out of the vehicle. You must detach these elements from the steering shaft: boot seal and steering shaft seal and sensor retainer and sensor locator. The boot seal and steering shaft seal together with the sensor retainer and sensor locator form part of the required installation components. Next remove the Steering Angle Sensor from its installation position. Succeeding the adapter removal and bearing assembly extraction from the steering jacket assembly. Start installation by joining the adapter and bearing assembly to the steering jacket assembly. The installation process begins with adding these components to the steering shaft: Steering Angle Sensor followed by sensor locator then sensor retainer and finally steering shaft seal and boot seal. Installation of Steering Angle Sensor requires sensor locator and sensor retainer together with steering shaft seal and boot seal. Reinstall the Steering Column to your vehicle while enabling the sir system.
