    Q:
How to replace the rear car speakers in a coupe on Chevrolet Corvette? Posted by Customer
    A:
Once you need to change the rear speaker on a coupe you should start by opening the rear lift window panel. Apply two flat bladed tools upon the upper RH and LH edges of the rear radio speaker grille until locking tabs disengage before pivoting the grille downward to let loose the lower retaining tab and remove it. Begin by detaching the push-in fastener (part number 123456) that holds the rear compartment side trim panel at the speaker opening lower corner then proceed with removing rear speaker retaining screws. Move the rear compartment side trim panel upward and out and back to gain access to the upper retaining screw. First access the electrical/audio connector of the rear speaker by detaching it from its position then disconnect the connector before removing the rear speaker. You should connect the electrical/audio connector to the rear speaker before installing the speaker into position using the retaining screws which should be tightened to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in). Begin by installing the push-in fastener (part number 123456) in the speaker opening lower corner then place the rear speaker grille lower retaining tab into the proper position before lifting the grille aligned with the locking tabs which need to be gently pushed to lock securely. Close the rear lift window panel as the last step.
