Rear Speaker

Customers should begin the rear speaker replacement process by taking out the rear window trim panel and the rear seat sound barrier. Press the rear speaker retainer forward to unlock it while raising the speaker out of the shelf and beyond the rear panel. First disconnect the electrical connector from the rear speaker before removing it from the rear shelf. Put the new rear speaker onto the rear shelf before connecting its electrical connector. You should position the forward tabs of the rear speaker into the slots before pressing down to secure the tabs into their positions. To finish the installation you must place back the rear seat sound barrier followed by the rear window trim panel.

Begin the rear speaker replacement by first taking off both the rear window trim panel and the rear seat sound barrier. Forward force on the retainer allows the speaker to become released after which you should lift the speaker from the rear shelf to install it. Detach the electrical connector from the rear speaker before disconnecting the speaker from the rear shelf. Apply the new rear speaker to the rear shelf while connecting its electrical connector. Insert and firmly press down the rear part of the rear speaker until its forward tabs enter slots to lock into position. The installation process ends by putting back the rear seat sound barrier and the rear window trim panel.

Next, detach the trim panel speaker grille from the trim panel.

Lift the speaker up, out, and back from the rear shelf.

For installation, attach the trim panel speaker grille back onto the trim panel.

Take out the speaker screws and lift the speaker up to detach it from the trim panel.

Remove the front door inner trim panel.

Ensure to tighten the front door speaker retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Reinstall the front door inner trim panel.
