    Q:
How to adjust the Cruise Control Switch without depressing the brake pedal on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Do not push the pedal while handling the cruise release switch during adjustment procedures. Begin by seating the release switch fully against the Brake Pedal arm inside the retainer then turn the switch to secure it in place. Measure the length between the switch barrel's end point and the pedal arm with a standard of 1.5 mm to 1.7 mm (1/16 in). The insertion and locking process needs reiteration when the desired distance measurements aren't achieved. The Brake Pedal travel should range from 3.5 mm to 12.5 mm (1/8 in to 1/2 in) at the centerline of the Brake Pedal assembly where nominal actuation of the release assembly contacts should happen at 4.5 mm (3/16 in).

    Q:
How to replace the cruise control switch on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting replacement of the Cruise Control Switch requires you to disable the sir system. Start by removing the Steering Wheel after which you move on to the Steering Wheel bezel fasteners and then the Steering Wheel bezel. A small blunt tool should be used to gently push the switch from the Steering Wheel's hidden access area at the rear while removing the electrical connector. Installation of the switch requires the user to attach electrical cables, position the switch correctly through the Steering Wheel opening and click it into its final position. Reattach the Steering Wheel bezel and lock it down with its fasteners while making sure they reach a torque of 3 n.m (26 lb in). To finish the process install the Steering Wheel and activate the sir system.
