Lock Switch

The first step to replace the theft deterrent Door Lock Switch requires you to disable the sir system when the vehicle has the sir side impact system. Start your work by uninstalling both front door trim panels and one step later remove the front door water deflectors. Start by removing the front door outside handle followed by exhaling the c-clip and cam lever. Before continuing for installation, remove the spring from the lock barrel and the door control lock tamper switch retainer followed by the tamper switch itself. When installing begin by setting the tamper switch in place, after which install the door control lock tamper switch retainer while adding the spring from the lock barrel. The installation order starts with the cam lever then the c-clip and ends with the front door outside handle and front door water deflector. Repeat the installation process of the front door trim panel and activate the sir functionality only if the vehicle originally used the sir side impact system.
