    A:
To work on the Brake Light Switch you need to disconnect the stoplamp connector and battery negative terminal. To begin unscrew the stoplamp switch by first removing the Brake Pedal and undoing the locknut from its threaded part. Start with the stoplamp switch installation before setting its position using the Brake Pedal all the way back. Put the switch plunger fully under the Brake Pedal contact plate. Keep the threaded part of the switch 1.5-2 mm (0.06-0.08 inch) apart from the contact plate surface. After setting the stoplamp switch position press the Brake Pedal firmly to install the stoplamp switch locknut while tightening it at 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). Reconnect both the stoplamp electrical connector and negative battery wire in the end.
