Fuel Tank

It is essential to replace the Fuel Tank module by disconnecting the fuel sender module electrical connectors despite taking proper precautions to protect the fuel pipes from contact damage. Use the fuel sender lock ring wrench j 45722 to decouple the fuel sender lock ring clockwise while securing the Fuel Tank to stop rotation and abstaining from the use of impact tools. Discard the fuel sender seal while you separate the fuel sender lock ring and remove both components from the fuel sender module. A replacement lock ring needs to be installed whenever the flatness measurement of the ring exceeds 0.41 mm (0.016 in). The installation of the new fuel sender seal must begin with inserting it properly into the Fuel Tank seal groove before adding the fuel sender followed by the lock ring. Secure the lock ring with the fuel sender lock ring wrench (J 45722) by turning it clockwise to the upper position. To complete the procedure you need to reconnect both fuel pipes and fuel sender sensor electrical connectors before installing the Fuel Tank.
