    Q:
How to replace the Body Control Module (BCM) on Buick Terraza? Posted by Customer
    A:
Beginning your work requires you to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Push the release tab at the bottom bracket of the i/p to release the bcm and ease it out from the bracket while disconnecting its wires. You will need to connect electrical components with the bcm first before inserting the bcm into its designated bracket slots through upward pressure until it clicks. Replace the i/p insulator on the right side before reconnecting the Battery Cable negative terminal and entering customized bcm settings.

    Q:
How should a new body control module (BCM) be programmed to ensure it controls all features correctly on Chevrolet Uplander? Posted by Customer
    A:
An organization must program a new Body Control Module with its necessary feature settings to work properly. The tech 2 system displays the suitable rpo choices for every vehicle. Start programming only after you verify that the battery is fully charged and you enable the on position on the Ignition Switch while making sure the dlc is accessible plus all disconnected components are back in place. Make sure the scan tool shows the accurate vin to prevent the service part from locking programming permanently. Open computer integrating systems on your scanner and click the module setup menu to reach Body Control Module. Use the scan tool to run bcm setup, bpp calibration, and program key fobs processes. Check all bcm connections and update the scan tool software if it does not accept the program. To set up remote start on an sps terminal you must work with a tool that follows pass thru programming and then choose preferred screen settings in the remote start menu. A brake pedal position sensor calibration will need to be completed following bcm or ebcm replacement when you use a scanner to access the module setup menu and pick Body Control Module according to the on-screen directions. When replacing the bcm or pcm with the passkey sensor you must do the passkey 3 and vtd programming process. To complete this process you must first turn off the ignition for 10 seconds then plug in the scan tool and turn the ignition back on making sure the engine stays off. Finally check all the modules for dtc history and delete all saved issues.
