    To install a new wiper transmission in the left-hand-drive position you need the wiper linkage separator tool j 39232 and the wiper linkage installer tool j 39529. First unmount the Wiper Arm and blade objects before taking off the air inlet screen. Employ the wiper linkage separator tool j 39232 to disconnect the transmission drive link socket from the wiper motor crank arm. Unscrew the six bolts and remove the transmission from the vehicle by rotating the transmission when required to clear the plenum. Fasten the transmission to its original position with six screws while tightening them at 8 n.m (70 lb in). Position the transmission drive link socket onto the wiper motor crank arm ball through the wiper linkage installer j 39529 for proper alignment. Replace the air inlet screen and put back the wiper components.

The wiper transmission separator (J 39232) is used to remove the transmission drive wiper socket from the wiper motor crank arm, making sure that the transmission rotates as needed to remove it from the plenum. Then, pull out six screws for removal of the transmission from the vehicle. For installation, refer to the wiper transmission installer (J 39529) to bolt the transmission back into the vehicle using six screws, which should be tightened to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Connect the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm bail using the j 39529 within an intending that the socket is inserted as far as possible on the ball. Lastly, put back the air inlet screen and the Wiper Arm and blade assemblies.
