Oil Tube

Start by turning off the ignition before you remove the front compartment sight shield as required and proceed to replace the oil level indicator tube (3.6 L). First take away the oil level indicator from the tube and remove the oil level indicator tube bolt. The vehicle should be lifted to access the Knock Sensor while you dismount the heat shield clamp from the oil level indicator tube. Drop the vehicle afterwards. Take note of the position and direction of the secondary (small square) heat shield before pulling out the oil level indicator tube through the Exhaust Manifold. The technician should discard the previous tube seal when they only need to replace the oil level indicator tube seal. Install the oil level indicator tube by carefully placing the secondary heat shield on the specified area where you marked it before removal of its components. After raising the vehicle once more you will install both the Knock Sensor and the heat shield clip to the appropriate locations on the oil level indicator tube according to the removal process. End the process by lowering the vehicle and reinstalling the front compartment sight shield if needed.

The oil level indicator replacement process requires that users disable ignition before pulling off the oil indicator from its tube. Start by removing the oil level indicator tube bolt followed by raising the vehicle. Start the replacement procedure by removing the Knock Sensor along with the heat shield clip from the oil level indicator tube. After that, lower the vehicle down. Take note of the small square heat shield position along with its orientation before pulling out the oil level indicator tube through the Exhaust Manifold. You should dispose of the seal when you simply need to replace the oil level indicator tube seal. The secondary heat shield must be installed on the oil level indicator tube according to the original positioning before oil level indicator installation is commenced. Locate the Knock Sensor into its original position followed by the clip installation to the oil level indicator tube according to the reference points you wrote down while removing these components. Then lower the vehicle.

First, remove the bolt securing the oil level indicator tube, coolant outlet pipe, and engine front lift bracket to the cylinder head.

Follow with the installation of the engine splash shield.

Note the location and orientation of the secondary (small square) heat shield.

Install the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt and tighten it to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Pull the oil level indicator from the tube.

Install the oil level indicator tube into the engine oil pan, ensuring to follow fastener caution guidelines.
