Oil Tube

The first step in servicing the engine oil dip stick and dip stick tube requires disappointing the Exhaust Manifold nut then gently lifting the tube to separate the oil level indicator and the tube. Let the o-ring remain in position before mounting the tube assembly inside the engine while using it to slip under the Exhaust Manifold nut. You must fasten the oil level indicator tube nut to 19 nm (14 ft. Lbs.) following the fastener notice in service precautions.

The proper method to service the engine oil dip stick and dip stick tube involves beginning with loosening the Exhaust Manifold-retained nut followed by pulling the tube upward to take out the oil level indicator and tube assembly. First place the o-ring correctly before completely fitting the tube assembly inside the engine space then slide it beneath the Exhaust Manifold nut. The completion of this service requires a 19 nm (14 ft. Lbs.) torque setting on the retaining nut.

The first step to change the oil level indicator and tube requires a nut removal from the tube-to-Exhaust Manifold connection then using a pulling motion upward to take out the oil level indicator together with the tube. Install the engine tube by placing the o-ring correctly then completely fitting the tube assembly inside the engine before guiding it under the Exhaust Manifold nut. The last step requires applying 19 nm (14 ft. Lbs.) torque to the oil level indicator tube nut.

First, loosen the nut holding the tube to the exhaust manifold and pull upward on the tube to remove the oil level indicator and the tube.

Ensure the O-ring is in place.

Tighten the retaining nut to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.), keeping in mind the fastener precautions.

Ensure the O-ring is in place.

Fully seat the tube assembly in the engine and slide it under the exhaust manifold nut.
