Oil Tube

Before replacing the oil level indicator and tube you must first disconnect the fuel hoses from retainers found at the oil level indicator bracket and Intake Manifold. Draw the oil level indicator out from the tube then break the oil level indicator tube bolt free. You should extract the oil level indicator tube from its location in the engine Oil Pan. Follow the fastener notice in service precautions while installing the oil level indicator tube into the engine Oil Pan through a process requiring a light application of clean engine oil on the o-ring seal. Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) before placing the oil level indicator tube inside the tube. Soak the fuel hoses and reinstall them into the retainers located at the oil level indicator bracket and Intake Manifold.

The first step for installing a replacement oil level indicator and tube requires users to remove fuel hoses from retainers found at the oil level indicator bracket and Intake Manifold. The next step involves removing the oil level indicator both from its tube and the oil level indicator tube bolt. The second step is to remove the oil level indicator tube from its position inside the engine Oil Pan. You must apply engine oil for light lubrication to the o-ring seal before securely placing the oil level indicator tube into the engine Oil Pan. Fasten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Place the fuel hoses into their retainers at the oil level indicator bracket and Intake Manifold after installing the oil level indicator into its tube.

You should begin by taking off the fuel line clip that secures the oil level indicator bracket while drawing out the oil level indicator from its tube. The first step requires you to remove the bolt that secures the oil level indicator tube and entirely extract the tube from the engine Oil Pan. Start by applying slight engine oil to the o-ring seal before installing the oil level indicator tube into the engine Oil Pan according to the fastener notice guidelines. Use the required torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in) to fasten the oil level indicator tube bolt. Secure the fuel line clip to the oil level indicator bracket while finishing up installation of the tube with its indicator.

The first replacement step involves removing the fuel hoses from their retainers at both locations which include the oil level indicator bracket as well as the Intake Manifold. After pulling out the oil level indicator from its tube position remove the oil level indicator tube bolt. The engine Oil Pan requires removal of the oil level indicator tube during replacement. Cover an o-ring seal with clean engine oil before placing the oil level indicator tube inside the engine Oil Pan while keeping close attention to the service precautions for fastener installation. Use 10 nm torque (89 inch lbs) to tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt and afterward install the indicator into its tube. Install the fuel hoses into the retainers which connect both their positions to the oil level indicator bracket and the Intake Manifold.

First, remove the fuel line clip from the oil level indicator bracket.

Install the oil level indicator tube bolt and tighten it to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Insert the oil level indicator into the tube and reinstall the fuel line clip to the oil level indicator bracket.
