    Q:
How to replace the front door opening Weather Strip on Chevrolet Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Replacing the front door opening Weather Strip in a monte carlo starts with opening the door while removing the carpet retainers. You should start by removing the windshield garnish molding and proceed to remove both the rear upper quarter trim panel and the rear lower quarter trim panel. The door opening Weather Strip needs to be removed by pulling it out from the pinch-weld flange. Place the new front door opening Weather Strip on the pinch-weld flange while starting from the center of the rocker panel area then push down clockwise until the strip fully seats without revealing gaps between joint butts that fall within the rocker panel area center. Installation of the joint butt ends requires replacing the carpet retainers and windshield garnish molding and rear upper quarter trim panel and rear lower quarter trim panel. Finally, close the door.
