    Q:
How to replace the Weather Strip on the rear side access door on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The necessary tool needed to replace the rear side access door weather strip is the Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778). The first step involves opening both the front and rear side access doors. Some elasticity may be required when performing this task. Lead with the Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778) to free the three integral retaining pins on the mold that secures the upper front molded detail to the side access door. To free the one integral retaining pin on the lower molded front detail of the side access door apply the same Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778). Install the Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778) under the weather strip to unlock the integral pins from the door. Conclude weather strip removal by taking it off the side access door opening. Install the weather strip to the rear side access door first and fasten upper molded detail to the front of this door with its built-in retaining pins while the lower molded detail installs with the remaining built-in retaining pins. Install the weather strip around the rear door frame by using integral retainers and then close both the front and rear side access doors.
