    Q:
How to replace the midgate Weather Strip on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should begin by opening the mid gate and next lift up the mid gate sliding hinge panel to replace the midgate Weather Strip. You should slide the retaining clips upward to fix the mid gate sliding hinge panel before you detach the pushpins that fasten the mid gate Weather Strip mold to the body. The Weather Strip attached to the pinch-weld and Window Channel of the mid gate needs to be separated before removing it out of the vehicle. Use the pushpins, align the new mid gate Weather Strip onto the vehicle and fasten it to the body. Push the Weather Strip into the mid gate Window Channel by starting from the alignment locations then expand towards the rest of the channel. Align the paint dots on the Weather Strip with the sheet metal joints of the Window Channel. Attach the Weather Strip to the lower pinch-weld flange where it should cover the lower mid gate opening. To close the mid gate secure the retaining clips by sliding them down on the sliding hinge panel.
