How to replace the liftgate Weather Strip on 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

In order to replace the liftgate weather strip, first open the liftgate and pull the weather strip out of the liftgate opening pinch-weld flange. During installation, start from the top center of liftgate opening such that the weather strip aligns to pinch-weld flange whilst operating downward from both sides at the joint at the bottom center without stretching the weather strip. Mount the butt joint seam at the top end of the bottom pinch-weld flange and make sure it is fully engaged into the pinch-weld flange by using a rubber mallet. If necessary, the weather strip may be spooned to fully install it. Finally, close the liftgate.
