How to replace the rear Door Latch Assembly on 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Begin the replacement of the rear door latch after totally closing the window. First eliminate both the door trim panel together with the water deflector. The inside door handle lock rods should be detached from the latch followed by separation of the outside handle lock rod from the outside handle. After closing the window entirely the technician needs to disconnect the electrical components from the latch and loosen the 3 fasteners (Fastener) which maintain the door latches position. Take out the actuator by removing it from the latch. First install the actuator to the latch before reinstalling the door latch correctly in its position. Follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions and then install three fasteners (Fastener) to fix the latch onto the door. Tighten these fasteners to 10.0 N.m (22 lb in). Install the outside handle lock rod to its place on the outside handle and then install the inside door handle lock rod to the latch. Replant the door trim panel then reinstall the water deflector as the last step.
