    Q:
How to replace the rear side door lock actuator on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of a rear side Door Lock Actuator requires the door trim panel followed by water deflector and Door Latch Assembly removal. The actuator requires removal from the lock by removing two mounting screws. You should raise and rotate the actuator away from the latch so the rubber Bumper can come off the latch before taking out the actuator from its position. Start the installation process by hooking rubber Bumper onto the latch and then moving the actuator toward the latch until the rubber Bumper is fully attached. Before installing the actuator above the latch position verify that its first gear tooth meshes correctly with the first gear tooth of the latch. Use a torque device to assemble the actuator to the lock using 2 retention screws at a torque value of 0.75 n.m (6 lb in). The final installation steps involve securing the lock to the door whereas the next step installs the water deflector followed by the door trim panel.
