How to replace the front side door lock actuator on Buick Rainier?

The procedure to replace the front side Door Lock Actuator begins with door trim panel removal followed by removing the water deflector and then the Door Latch Assembly. Remove the two screws which attach the actuator to its place on the lock assembly. After lifting and rotating the actuator you will unhook the rubber Bumper from the latch and remove the actuator from its position. Begin by attaching the rubber Bumper to the latch and then rotate the actuator toward the latch so that the rubber Bumper becomes properly installed. The actuator installation requires achieving proper alignment between the first gear tooth of each component before placing the actuator on top of the latch. Drive the two retaining screws of the actuator through the lock cavity before tightening them to 0.75 n.m (6 lb in). After placing the lock back into the door position you should install the water deflector and door trim panel one after the other.
