During installation you should send the door check link assembly through the door access hole while keeping the position arrow directed toward the front. Insert the 2 door check link retaining nuts onto the door before torquing them to 7 N.m (62 lb in) and reattaching the rubber dust boot to the door check link. Fitting the door check link to the pillar requires installation of the 2 retaining bolts which need tightening to 15 N.m (11 lb ft) torque while completing the installation of the front lower window run channel as the last step. Install the door trim panel after seating the water deflector completely.
