    Q:
How to Replace a Rear Door Check on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step when replacing the rear door limiter requires removal of the rear side access door trim panel. You need to first remove the bolt (Wrench) underneath the rear side access door check-body attachment followed by the nuts (Socket) that link the check to the door. The rear side access door check should be taken out from the door after complete removal. You should set the new rear side door check in position on the door surface with the alignment mark directed toward the top. Secure the rear side door check to the door through installation of nuts by using sockets and tightening to 80 lb in (9 N.m). The repair requires using a bolt (Wrench) to connect the rear side access check with the body after setting its torque to 25 N.m (18.4 lb ft). The completion of the installation requires reinstallation of the rear side access door trim panel.
