The first step for replacing the rear door latch involves closing the window. Initial work begins by removing both the door trim panel together with the water deflector. Begin by disconnecting the inside door handle lock rods from the latch through detaching and then proceed with removing the outside handle lock rod attachment from its position on the outside handle. Begin by removing three fasteners numbered 123456 which hold the latch to the door then you must disconnect electrical connectors from the latch before taking it out of the door. Moving forward remove the actuator from the latch mechanism. The installation process begins by fixing the actuator onto the latch before putting the latch back into the door. The electrical connectors should be reconnected to the latch followed by installation of 3 fasteners (Part Number: 123456) which need to be tightened to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Reinstall the outside handle lock rod to the outside handle while the inside door handle lock rod should connect to the latch. The water deflector should be put back into position along with the door trim panel.
