How to replace the rear Door Latch Assembly on 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Begin the process by totally closing the window on the rear door. The replacement process starts with removing the water deflector along with the door trim panel. The installation starts by dismantling inside door handle lock rods from the latch followed by disconnecting outside handle lock rod from the outside handle. The process to replace the door latch starts by taking out three fasteners (Part number 123456) which secure the latch to the door. Then disconnect all electrical connectors from the latch before removing it from the door. The procedure ends with removal of the actuator component from the latch. You should start by fitting the actuator onto the latch then reinstall the latch within the door. You should reinstall all electrical connectors on the latch by following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions before putting in the 3 fasteners (part number 123456) which require tightening to 10.0 N.m (22 lb in). Once completed with the outside handle lock rod reconnection to the outside handle the remainder of the tasks will include attaching the inside door handle lock rod to the latch. Place back the door trim panel alongside the water deflector.
