- Q: How to replace the Lash Adjusters on 2000 Buick Century?A: Start by removing the left and right valve Rocker Arm covers followed by removing both upper and lower intake manifolds. Proceed with the valve Rocker Arm and pushrods removal thereafter separate the Lash Adjuster guide bolts and extract the Lash Adjuster guide(s). First clean all valve train parts and gasket surfaces by using degreaser. After this remove the Lash Adjuster(s) before moving to the installation sequence. Check for wear on lash adjusters and cam lobes during inspection. First apply prelube solution gm p/n 1052365 or equivalent to the adjusters before reinstalling them to their initial positions. Install the Lash Adjuster guide and Lash Adjuster guide bolts before finalizing their torque at 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Reinstall the valve rocker arms and pushrods to which you will add the lower and upper intake manifolds. The right (rear) and left (front) valve Rocker Arm covers should be installed as the last step.
