How to replace the rear side door power window switch on 2000 Buick Century?

The Ignition Switch needs to be turned off before attempting to remove the rear side door window switch to stop potential switch shortening. Protective tape or coating should be placed at the entry point of the small flat-bladed tool to defend the inner part of door trim panel from damage. Insert a plastic flat-bladed tool at the mounting plate front edge and push backward to free retainer clips before lifting up on the plate front section. First remove the mounting plate along with the switch from the trim panel before disconnecting the electrical connector from the Power Window Switch and taking out the switch from its mounting plate. Secure the installation of the switch by pressing its tabs into the mounting plate. Use the window switch connector to connect it to the device before you position the mounting plate to match the door trim panel and push to lock in the retainer.
