2000 Buick Century Radiator Hose Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the radiator hose inlet on 2000 Buick Century?
A: The first step to replace the Radiator inlet hose requires draining part of the cooling system. The second step involves removing the left diagonal support. You must use hose clamp pliers (J38185) to shift the hose clamp at the Thermostat Housing before separating the Radiator inlet hose from its position. The hose clamp pliers (J38185) should be used for relocating the hose clamp on the Radiator before the Radiator inlet hose is disconnected from the device. Remove the Radiator inlet hose. The new Radiator inlet hose needs installation on the vehicle while the alignment marks on it must be oriented properly before clamping it onto the Radiator. Use hose clamp pliers (J38185) to reposition and secure the hose clamp onto the Radiator. After that position the Radiator inlet hose at the Thermostat Housing and install it into place. Install the hose clamp at the Thermostat Housing with hose clamp pliers (J38185). The installation process ends with placing the left diagonal brace and filling the cooling system followed by leak inspection.
