To service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/switch, one is needed to turn the ignition off and drain the Radiator coolant as a starting point. Carefully pull off the ect sensor shield that is encircling the ect sensor, and unplug the ect sensor electrical connector from the ect sensor and remove it from the engine. Upon installation, it is important not to destroy the engine Coolant Temperature Sensor because this would influence the operation of the fuel injection system. Mount the ect sensor into the engine and secure it with the torque of 25 nm (18 lb ft). Next, join the electrical connector to the ect sensor and wrap the ect sensor shield around it. Start the engine, fill Radiator with coolant, again check for leaks, and check the coolant and at last.
